A long weekend over

This was a wonderful weekend, also very hard ,I would do this all over again. I hope that I made a difference. I was not sure if I could do this when we started .  The first day was not to bad when we arrived to camp we had to build our tent; that was not very hard .  I think that they have this down to an art. If over 2000 women are going to build a tent they better make it easy; and they did. We had to eat dinner before we could take a shower; by the time we set up tent and ate dinner it was getting dark. When we went to the shower trucks it was not only dark  it was verrrry cold.  We finally got in to the shower truck and the hot water felt so good I did not want to get out; just let me stay here under this wonderful warm water.  After we got out of the shower I just knew that I would freeze and be a popsicle. Not so! I felt wonderful. The next day there was not very many people walking normal. We ate breakfast and went of for the next day.  My legs did not want to go but I did. So did Vicky. It took a little time to get ready to go, and after we did , we were determined to do this. When ever I thought I could not go any more I just thought of the last  thing I saw ( The girl in front of me ) This is for my Sis. The next one to her also this is for my Sis, or on the cheering station two little boys (5 and maybe 3 years old) said "my Mom would have thanked you" and not to forget the husband that walked for the wife that was going to but could not any more. We ( Vicky and me) did wonderful the next day . Day two was 21.5 miles. Day three no one moved like a normal person but we all did what we supposed to . At 5 am (coffee first) (1)take down the tent (2)eat and (3) pack every thing up.  Then go for the last day 17.5 miles. At first we did ok then we got slower and slower at the first stop ( maybe second) Vicky said lets take the bus to the next stop. I was sooo glad that she said this. I would have tried to go on but I was hurting too much . (We got a special button for taking the bus). The truck took us to the lunch spot. We ate lunch; I called Steve and said that I am not so sure that we can make it the next 10 miles. After lunch I am not so sure what happened. ( I did Pray ) but Vicky and I were like new. We started walking and did not want to stop. Two miles out there was no one that could stop us. We made it and that was the best feeling ever.
